You've seen and heard the traditional art of solid stave shell construction in some of today's finest percussion instruments like congas and djembes.  At Spaun Drum Company, we've brought together the past with the present to offer a line of extraordinary solid stave shell snare drums.  An extensive variety of woods and thicknesses are available, allowing drummers endless possibilities in creating a unique sound that suits their individual tastes.  Like all Spaun shells, our solid stave shells are unobstructed by reinforcement rings insuring maximum resonance.  They can be added by special request.  Available in 12", 13", and 14" diameters, you can choose any depth from 4" to 8".  Not only that, but all of our solid stave shells can be ordered in 3/8" (9.5mm), 1/2" (12.7mm), or 5/8" (15.9mm) thick.  Call or email for information on even thicker shells and the numerous wood types that are available.
