Carrollton
I am 32 years old. I am married with 4 children. I am the drummer for the band Carrollton. I have been playing drums since I was a little boy. In 1999 I joined the Christian metal band Bride. I got the gig during my senior year of high school, signed a record contract with an indie label called Absolute Records and I was out touring the world. From 1999-2004 I was able to play in over 25 states and tour countries such as Brazil, Norway, Germany and Denmark. In 2004 I joined a band called The North and toured with them from 2004-2006. From 2006-2008 I didn’t do much other than play around town when someone needed a fill in guy.
In 2008 I met Justin Mosteller. He was in need of a drummer for two weeks during the summer. During that two week period we began to form a very tight friendship. About a month after I had finished those two weeks we talked again and he and I agreed we should be pursuing music together. Both of us had a strong passion for music and the church (we still do today). Over the last 6 years we have been writing, recording and playing out as much as possible. In 2011, we caught the attention of an indie producer (Jason Hoard) who wanted to work with us. So we tracked a full length indie record with him. In 2012, Jason Hoard, put our record on the desk of a record label called Centricity Music. We met with Centricity in June of 2012 and by April of 2013 we had signed a multi-year deal with them. We released our first national EP in February 2014 titled Breathe In Deep. It was produced by grammy nominated producer Paul Moak (Third Day, Matt Maher, The Vespers, Leagues, Relient K, ect.). In June of 2014 we headed back to Nashville, TN to track our new single with grammy award winning producer Chris Stevens (Toby Mac, Mandisa, Newsboys, Jamie Grace ect.). We head out on our first national tour supporting Jason Gray , Unspoken and Lindsey McCaul in the fall of 2014.
I have been playing my Spaun drums for over 13 years now. My drums have endured a lot of travel and abuse and yet continue to make the FOH guys and myself happy.
