These unique snare drums compliment and expand on our standard 8-ply design.  As the shell thickness increases, the drum becomes louder, with a slightly higher pitch, and has a more focused note (less ring and overtones).  They accentuate the "crack" with an increase in power while maintaining warmth and sensitivity.  Almost any thickness or ply configuration can be achieved.  Call or email for details.  Available in 100% Maple, 100% Birch, and various combinations of both wood types.
